Tanzania Peaberry

Grown in the highlands of Isaiso, within Tanzania’s Mbeya region, these rare peaberry beans are cultivated by 350 smallholder farmers at elevations of 4,430–4,890 feet. Only 1 in 9 cherries produces a peaberry, making this coffee exceptionally unique and prized. In 2023, this lot won the Tanzania Fine Coffee Competition, a testament to its outstanding quality.

The washing process begins the same day the cherries are harvested. They are sorted, pulped, and fermented for up to 72 hours before being carefully washed and graded by density. Finally, the beans are sun-dried on raised beds for up to 14 days to achieve the perfect balance of flavor and structure.
